DIY: tassle booties

originally purchased on clearance from steve madden 

(at least 5 years ago) for around $20,

my little grey booties were just begging to be revitalized.

when i saw the inspiration image in the september issue of harper's, 

i knew EXACTLY what it was going to take to spice them up!

these babies carried me literally ALL over new york city last week,

and although one of them now needs a new heelcap, i think they've faired rather well!

love the kind of super simple project that takes just a few dollars (for the tassles),

and that virtually anyone can do themselves!
